MID-WINTER CONFERENCE:  President Betty McArthur, Past President Betty Rice, Auxiliary members May Hartley, Mary Kollister, Rachel Roberts and Sandra Sharp; and Honorary Junior President Treaser McArthur, Junior members Jenna Roberts and Leah Roberts attended the Conference in Alexandria, LA from January 20^th through 22^nd.   Meetings were attended and Barbara White, N.E.C. held a presentation of the National Awards received by the Department of LA during the National Convention held this past summer.  Unit 16 was presented with the “National Southern Division Best Poppy Poster Class IV Award” created by Olivia Lechner who attends Lake Castle Private School.

LOUISIANA WAR VETERANS HOME:  On Monday, January 23^rd, Auxiliary members Carol Johansen and Juliette Ostarly traveled to the veterans home to play Bingo, sing songs and served King Cake and hot chocolate for refreshments.  Thank you to Pat and Ted Oster for taking care of the King Cakes.
